Overpriced stay, not four stars
Pros: Nothing special Cons: Due to illness, there was no English breakfast, only continental with limited choice, but at the same price. No room or bathroom cleaning during the 8-night stay. Hard pillows, fresh towels only on request. Overpriced. Mold in the shower.
Great room, welcoming host and very good value for money
Pros: We received a lovely welcome from Janet the host, who explained she was recovering from surgery so would not be able to make breakfast for us in the morning. However, she said we could help ourselves to cereal and milk from the fridge, there was bread, butter, and jams/honey for toast. Tea and coffee as well. It was a very quiet room at the back of the house which was great. Cons: One of the twin beds squeaked a bit when my daughter turned over in bed! Room 3, left-hand bed facing the door.
