Had my reservation as “pay at property” they tried to charge me before I got there, and when my card flagged it and declined, they gave the room to someone else

Had my reservation as “pay at property” they tried to charge me before I got there, and when my card flagged it and declined, they gave the room to someone else. When I got there she was confused and rude somehow at the same time. Ended up driving way farther for a cheaper place.

I was charged a $100.00 cash deposit for a smoke free room

I was charged a $100.00 cash deposit for a smoke free room. Granted I was given it back upon checkout but I had to take it out of the ATM to pay it. This should be on the website and not sprung on people at check in.
