Lovely area and nice friendly hotel.
Expensive.
Pros: Friendly and comfortable with good parking. Large shower cubicle. Toiletries and towels. Tea/coffee/chocolate & kettle. Breakfast was good. Bar. Cons: Expensive. No air con. Large fan moved the hot air around! Small shower room with no natural light. Electric shower was noisy and not very good. Room is quite dated. Two singles pushed together.
Fab country hotel, great location
Pros: Lovely location and building. Great bed, cotton sheets and fluffy towels. Air conditioning in our room. Friendly service. Nice breakfast. Cons: Our room was right on the road which was noisy from crack of dawn. If this bothers you, I suggest asking for a room at the back of the hotel.
Comfortable room, good breakfast

Good location for walking the South Downs Way but very expensive for what you get
Easy check-in at the bar. The dining area was a bit souless. It just had no atmosphere at all. However, the lovely young lady serving was exceptional on the Saturday night. It was busy & she was working alone. She really was unbelievable but should have had another member of staff to ease her workload. The food was really good. Breakfast was OKish. Didn’t like the flies that landed on the bread. This can easily be covered to prevent this. I had eggs royale & the eggs were rock hard with a load of sauce. Room was OK but the shower took 10 minutes to warm up! However there was a sign
