Enjoyable stay.
Pros: Lovely building in beautiful location. Room had double aspect and view of lawns to the front. Good facilities in room including blackout curtains, comfy bed, great bathroom, everything spotlessly clean. I had requested a particular room and hotel was able to allocate it to us, so that was great. Very good breakfast, also nice bar and sitting rooms. Cons: Worn carpet on step in room is a potential trip hazard. Dinner was a bit disappointing for the price. Shame there was no indoor space where we could sit and enjoy a morning coffee without music playing.

Pros: 1) great location near the forest, 2) nice grounds with gardens, 3) generally helpful staff Cons: 1) the rooms are in obvious need for refurbishment (despite already being in this state 3 years ago), 2) the restaurant hostess was very slow
