Hotels near Oslo-Gardermoen International Airport (OSL)

Gardermoen sits a fair way north of central Oslo, so this isn't a case of choosing an airport hotel over a city stay for convenience's sake — for an early flight or a late arrival, basing yourself here genuinely makes sense rather than trekking in from town. The Radisson Blu Airport Hotel, the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre and the Radisson RED are all a short walk from the terminal, which is about as straightforward as an airport stopover gets: bags down, through security, no transfer to think about.

This is worth knowing if those closest three are full or priced above what you want to pay; stepping out to 2-3 km rarely costs you much in terms of hassle, just a short taxi or shuttle hop rather than a walk.

Staying in Gardermoen itself, rather than at the airport proper, is a reasonable middle option too, particularly if your schedule gives you a bit of slack — it can mean a slightly quieter base without losing the ease of a short run to check-in. The main trade-off throughout is simple: the closer you are, the more you're paying for certainty rather than surroundings, since there's little to see or do around the airport itself.
