Officially the Brisbane Cricket Ground and known to absolutely everyone as the Gabba, this tight, steep-sided bowl in Woolloongabba is the traditional opener of an Australian Test summer and home to Big Bash nights and AFL through the winter. The ground sits about two kilometres south of the city centre, close enough to walk back over the river from South Bank once the lights go down.
