Home ground: EverBank Stadium, Jacksonville

Good to know: NFL game dates and kick-off times can move — flexible scheduling shifts games between Thursday, Sunday and Monday slots, especially from midseason. If your trip is built around the game, choose a free-cancellation rate so your booking can move with it.

History

Jacksonville was awarded an expansion franchise in 1993 alongside Carolina and began play in 1995, the jaguar name and teal colours chosen to give the smallest market in the NFL a distinct, ferocious identity. The Jaguars reached the AFC Championship game in just their second and fourth seasons, an unusually fast rise for an expansion club, though the team has never reached a Super Bowl. The stadium's swimming pools beyond the end zone are one of the more unusual features in the league. Quarterback Mark Brunell led those early playoff runs, while more recently the franchise has leaned on the international profile it built by hosting an annual regular-season game in London.

Records & quirks

  • Jacksonville's 7-6 record in London is both the most wins and losses in the NFL's International Series.
  • The Jaguars' biggest win overseas was a 44-7 rout of Baltimore in London in 2017.
  • A record London crowd of 86,651 watched Jacksonville beat New England at Wembley in 2024.
