About Rainforest World Music Festival 2027

Three nights of world music played in an actual rainforest: the 30th anniversary edition of Sarawak's great festival returns to the Cultural Village at the foot of Mount Santubong, forty-five minutes from Kuching. Days are hands-on — sape lessons, drum circles and workshops inside the village's traditional longhouses — and as darkness falls the main stages light up against the jungle canopy with acts from every continent.

It is humid, friendly and unlike any festival in Europe. Most visitors stay in Kuching or the Santubong resorts and shuttle in; book the anniversary year early.
