History

SA20 launched in January 2023 and rapidly established itself as one of world cricket's most compelling franchise leagues, and in Johannesburg the Joburg Super Kings play their home matches at one of the game's great amphitheatres, the Wanderers Stadium. Known affectionately as the Bullring for its steep, tightly packed stands, the Wanderers has a reputation for noise, drama and some of the most memorable days the sport has seen — it also staged the very first SA20 final in 2023 — and an evening here crackles with energy.

Johannesburg, the country's largest city and economic heart, sits high on the Highveld and makes a natural hub for a wider South African trip, as well as the usual gateway to Kruger safaris.
