Total Solar Eclipse 2026

12 Aug 20261 round4 host cities

On the evening of 12 August 2026 the Moon's shadow sweeps across Spain — the first total solar eclipse visible from mainland Europe since 1999. Totality is a single shared moment along a band from the Atlantic coast to the Balearics, so pick your spot on the path and book a room there: Bilbao, Zaragoza, Valencia and Palma all sit in or beside the darkness. Eclipse chasers travel from all over the world and rooms along the path are already scarce — book as early as you possibly can, and plan for the evening sun low over the western horizon.
