The Tokyo Marathon is one of Asia's largest marathons, drawing tens of thousands of runners and spectators to Tokyo's streets each March. The race sets off beside the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku and threads through the heart of the capital, passing Asakusa and Ginza before finishing near Tokyo Station, with cheering crowds lining the way throughout. The field is set at 40,000 runners for 2027, among the largest of the Majors.
