I should have trusted my instincts that something wasn’t right when I hadn’t heard from the hotel booking provider for a month reminding me of my upcoming stay. We arrived yesterday by train to find it was closed and the lady on hotel reception next door said it had been for approximately 2 weeks! Unfortunately they did not have rooms available and we were in a hurry to get to a football event at Anfield and needed to drop overnight bags off. Got to the hotel to find it all locked up. No communication from the hotel to advise booking was canceled.

Can’t review, got to the hotel yesterday for our booking to find the hotel completely shut. No communication from the hotel advising our booking was canceled. Had to find last-minute accommodation in Liverpool for the night as we had an event booked so couldn’t just go home. Avoid at all costs

Ah, 30 James Street Hotel—where dreams go to die and customer service is apparently a foreign concept. Imagine our delight when we arrived, only to discover that the hotel had vanished into the ether, taking our hard-earned money along for the ride.
