Central and well located, easy to check in and clean room
Pros: Simple and efficient stay. Overall clean, comfortable bed and air conditioning in the room which was good for the very hot day during the visit. Cons: Very steep stairs, to be expected with an old building but something to be aware of if you intend to bring big suitcases or a lot of luggage. Bathroom was also showing some signs of wear with damaged screen and not such strong ventilation.
Room ok, but tight, noisy location.
Pros: The location is good, close to everything. However, it is in an extremely noisy square, very busy and above a pub. Cons: I didn't like entering the building and having to practically pass through a bar, in the morning the square smelled of stale beer and there is a urinal at the hotel's door.
Great location, comfy beds but disappointing standard vs photos.
Pros: Great location for central Amsterdam, in amongst the bars and shops. The beds were very comfy and the check-in process convenient, as were the lockers for leaving luggage after check out. Cons: The shower was barely a dribble and the bathroom was poorly kept and needed some TLC. The coffee machine didn't work and had an old dirty capsule left in it. The walls were sloping over the bed so it felt very small.
