Rooms are cosy, beds are luxurious and fantastically comfortable, the foyer areas are beautiful and smell lovely, the staff/owners are fantastic, the bathrooms are clean and empty, the value is insane Cons: Nothing could be improved

The Alabama was a great base to experience Hobart and its many attractions, MONA was a standout!

Pros: Simple and clean, easy access. The bed, sheets and pillows were very comfortable. Access was easy, and well located. Had a groovy feel. Staff were pleasant and helpful Cons: nothing.

This was a centrally located no frills hotel, owned by real people who are locals and run with sustainability at its cor

Pros: The property was run with sustainability and the environment at its core. Cleaning products were eucalyptus based, who gives a crap toilet paper, water filling stations and minimal plastic. The shared bathrooms were very clean , and separated men and women’s bathrooms. Retro vibe and comfortable beds . Cons: There was no shared space/ living area open after 8 pm ( the front part of the hotel) … Although they had an urn in the hallway and a fridge in the rooms there was nowhere to sit or eat at a table .. there was only a small retro telephone table/ bench in our room.
