It was a very pleasant stay
Beautiful property amazing location
Pros: The gentleman who was on breakfast duty in the morning Cons: Two fights of stairs when told one, hand held shower rose whilst in a bath.....not safe.
Enjoyed the stay and will go back
Pros: Great location, warm, friendly welcome. Good breakfast Cons: Under new ownership and rooms being updated but do probably need a refresher
Lovely setting.....but hugely disappointing
Pros: Set in stunning rural surroundings. Junior staff were very pleasant and helpful. Cons: The photos on the website do not reflect reality. The main issue is that having booked in a 4* hotel and looking forward to spending time away, it was then hugely disappointing to discover that the room was in effect at best only 2*. It was not in the main building but in an annexe out the back, through an unlit area. The 'scenic view' was of an extraction unit. Access was via a steep, narrow, and frankly dangerous stairway. The double room was tiny and very tired. The bed was incredibly uncomfort
Good value.
It was very good value for the night we stayed, the staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. The food was lovely.
October here averages 11°C, with around 83 mm of rain across the month.
