Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

Not friendly and no accountability for lost items

Pros: The location was good but you have to pay extra for the river view even if the hotel is not full and they have availability. Cons: They don’t give you HH points if you book through Booking and they give you a subtle but clear attitude. The parking is super expensive and the valet parking people mess up your electronics in the car. Avoid using them. Other parking near by is only $14 for 24 hrs. vs $49 they charge. The manager is not friendly if you request a free upgrade even though I had reserved an accessible room and when I got there they didn’t have it. No one takes responsibility

Pros: Very nice hotel and close to downtown Cons: That our room was not available when we there to check in after I booked the room months in advance. We had to change clothes in the public bathroom in the lobby area and there was water all over. Was very disappointed that I was only offered a $50 credit. I would not stay here again due to these inconveniences

This is our 5th time staying at Amway, we love the hotel and rooms, location and places to eat inside the building.

Pros: location, lobby Cons: Waited past check-in time; never received a text when the room was ready; had to go back to the service desk. Elevators were not working. 45-minute wait for valet parking to get the car.
