Great location, night staff is not helpful, dirty room and clogged drains
Pros: Great location. Restaurant in sister hotel just down the street was reasonably priced. The staff upon arrival and departure were very nice. Unfortunately, the night staff were arrogant, snarky, and unhelpful. Cons: Hair on bathroom and bedroom floor. Shower and sink drains were clogged. The shower had standing water within the first min or two of running; the floor was at risk of flooding after a few mins if you didn't turn it off. Night staff just smirked/chuckled and said maintenance will take a look the next day. Apex charged over £325 per night for a room without a fully functional s

OK hotel - payment system difficult.
Pros: Was an OK hotel. Cons: Booked via Booking.com., but hotel required payment through its own payment system which required logging on through a timed message - took 3 tries to get the payment to go through, and had to call them twice - to get them to reset, and also to confirm the payment went through (as it did not send a confirmation). Also, there is another Apex hotel in Haymarket that is easy to confuse with this City hotel (which is on Haymarket).

Pros: Good location and staff friendly and efficient
Pros: Good location and staff friendly and efficient. Room a good size and the bed comfortable. Good choice at breakfast. Cons: Small details where maintenance needs to be kept up as the room was getting a bit tired for a 4 * hotel- sink didn't drain quickly, the tiles in bathroom could do with a deep clean. Facia panel below TV loose and paintwork on bathroom door needs redecorating.
