Room was far too warm
Pros: Staff were friendly and made it extra special for my partner’s birthday with free drinks. Hotel was modern and car park next to it. Cons: We stayed in Aug, the room was far too warm with no air conditioning. We had to open the 1 window which helped but made it difficult to sleep as we could hear a lot of cars and lorries going past given its location.
Excellent as a place to stay, less tempting as a place to eat.
Pros: The room was spacious, with two large, comfortable beds and a pleasant view over the quay. There was virtually no internal noise penetration. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a powerful, easy to operate walk-in shower (essential for me) as well as a bath. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Cons: We opted not to have breakfast at the hotel because it seemed over-priced for people who only eat a small breakfast. We found places where we could get something adequate at about half the cost, though they were not nearby and took some exploring to find. A different
Perfect overnight stay before a cruise
Pros: I was staying at the Apex overnight before heading on a cruise, so the location was ideal for the cruise car park and terminal Cons: Nothing to dislike. Slightly cheaper would have been ideal, but overall the location and experience was great
