They kindly changed rooms from the first floor to ground level because of my wife’s bad hips, no lift. The room was tired, dusty and in need of a make over like they had the bathroom. The lock on the door wasn’t working, there was no lock on the window and the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain properly. When walking down the corridor to our room you could smell cigarette smoke while the staff would stand outside the reception door smoking as you walked past.

We recently stayed at the Beaumont Apartments in Kew. For the first 2 nights we were in a family room and as we were staying on due to my father being in hospital, we we lucky that the management let us stay in the same room. However, there were some things that definitely need attention. The kitchen tap was practically falling off the spigot and needed 2 hands to operate it. There was hardly any shower gel in the room and the shampoo, shower gel etc weren't attached to the wall in an accessible place, rather on the floor.
