Cons: ⭐ 1 Star – Beach Mount Hotel: £50 Security Deposit to Protect a Room That’s Already Falling Apart! I’ve stayed in some questionable hotels over the years, but the Beach Mount Hotel deserves a special mention. Not necessarily for its hospitality, but for its ability to turn a simple check-in into something resembling a mortgage application. After driving approximately 500 miles in one day, all I wanted was to check in, have a shower and get some well-earned rest. Unfortunately, the lady on reception had other ideas. I was informed that I couldn’t check in unless I paid a £50 refundable
