Somewhere to put our head down after attending a family wedding. We wouldn’t return.
Pros: Unfortunately the property is very tired and needs some updating. Cons: Furniture was worn and dated, we checked in early as had a wedding to attend, our bags were kindly held, when we arrived gone midnight we were told there would be a night porter. It took several attempts to call him to get access to our room. We didn’t stay for breakfast we just slept and left.
Stayed one night for a funeral next day. Well and cheerfully looked after.
Pros: Dining chairs with tartan upholstery in dining room very comfortable and attractive, Room very good size. Thoughtful provisions like bath mats and tissues. Breakfast enhanced by asking for fresh poached egg. all food which should be hot and plates effectively kept hot by high temp counter Cons: Surface around bathroom sink needs to be repaired as worn. Dull colours but not impacting on comfort. Nice size of garden visible and accessible from dining room could do with some more comfortable seating as picnic benches not good for older people.

The pool
Disrepair
Friendly staff but the disrepair could not compete! The room was is disrepair, especially the bathroom and windows. The bathroom tiles were broken, nearly all sealant had thick mould. The windows we could not open & had to call management to address issues, who eventually through thick cobwebs slide it open slightly, which was a significant safety concern. The Tv was intermittent with the remote broken being held together with duct tape. On calling management they did their best by replacing with a new battery but this was again held in place by duct tape. The overall disrepair of the whole
