Best Western Priory Hotel

Average at best.

Pros: The room was dated and not very well maintained. The carpets in the rooms and the stair carpets are well worn and in need of a good clean, the breakfast was average. The location was fine, and a 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride to town. The staff were great but I think next time I would pay more and stay elsewhere. Cons: The hotel is old and in need of an upgrade, the rooms are worn and not the cleanest. The selection of beer is limited and not great. I just feel the place has been neglected over the years and could do with some urgent TLC.

Relaxed

Pros: Went with friends. Twin rooms available, rooms off a courtyard we could sit all together outside our rooms enjoying the light evening. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds had the best night sleep. Cons: All good thanks

Comfortable and hospitable stay in a historic building

Pros: Room was large and comfortable. Bed wonderful Cons: Shower was poor quality. Room could have had a second armchair

Clean & peaceful

Pros: Not generic like other chains, gardens are beautiful Cons: Nothing

Relaxing and friendly

Pros: We were very late, but were met with a smile and told not to worry. The staff were all nice and accommodating, the beds were very comfy. All in all a lovely experience. Cons: Nothing that I did not like.
