Viktorianisches Hotel am südlichen Stadtrand mit guter Verkehrsanbindung

Pros: Historisches Hotel am Rand von Edinburgh mit guter Busanbindung in die Innenstadt. Das Gebäude ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Zimmer sind aber sauber und schön eingerichtet. Modernes Bad. Cons: Der Ventilator im Bad war recht laut, und die Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum fanden wir etwas unterkühlt. Sonst alles in Ordnung

Pros: Let tilgængeligt fra busstoppestedet. Dejligt med badekar og fint med varmt vand i bruseren. Venligt personale, selvom de ikke så ud som om de havde lyst til at være der. Cons: Intet vandtryk i vandhanen, så det var svært at vaske hænder. Ingen elevator. Utroligt varmt i spisesalen - man havde hurtigt lyst til at komme ud igen, så man blev ikke længe og nød sin morgenmad. I forhold til prisen, så mener jeg ikke det var pengene værd.

Worst experience ever!

Pros: The building is beauriful on the outside and location was perfect for us. One receptioist was friendly and very helpful. Cons: The hotel is in a rundown state and in need of total refurbishment. The self service breakfast was atrocious with very poor quality food. Unset sticky tables with old chairs - peeling leather and staff were indifferent.The price was outragious - €980 for three nights! We heard many complaints from other visitors.

Wouldn’t not recommend this hotel.

Pros: Location near bus stop that goes into centre of Edinburgh Cons: Don’t know where to start. Rooms were not clean. Detritus on the roofs and in park of the car park when you looked out the window. Restaurant closed at 6pm which was not mentioned at time of booking. Fire alarm was meant to have gone off but none of our party heard any siren which was concerning. Paid over £1000 for three room for one night. Complained to hotel, told to complain through booking.com. Whilst complaint was acknowledged no refund even partially was forthcoming.

The hotel was in a fantastic location with beautiful views. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and polite, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
