Lovely cottage in an excellent holiday village

Pros: The location of the cottage in Ballater is excellent - within a very short walking distance of everything, yet in a quiet street with very little noise. Off-street parking is easy and convenient next to the back door. Beds and living areas are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for self-catering. The town of Ballater has many restaurants if you prefer not to cook. Communication with Graham, the owner, was always quick and easy. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable & convenient place to stay. Happily return.

I recently stayed at Cairnie Cottage and had a fantastic experience overall. The space was exactly as described - clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up for guests. Cons: The house was cold when we arrived but soon heated up would have preferred the heating to have been on prior to our arrival.

Pros: The cottage is central to Ballater yet in a quiet location

Pros: The cottage is central to Ballater yet in a quiet location. Ample parking was available at the time of our visit in a fairly secure location. The cottage was very clean and well presented, with a really nice basket of goodies to help with getting going. Each room was spacious and clean with nice furnishings. A handy bike storage garage is also available. We would definitely stay here again and can recommend it to future customers. Cons: A power socket in the garage would be useful, but this is not a criticism only a suggestion.
