Pros: The property is remarkable! Gorgeous gardens and trees along the Carmel River. We were in the main building, which is like a basic motel but all rooms appear to have a balcony/terrace overlooking the river. If you can afford it, get one of the cottages! Cons: Breakfast and other items are provided by a small food truck/trailer on the grounds. The one morning we stayed the provider had not opened by 8:30 am, though it was advertised at 7:30. There were number of us milling about hoping to get something for breakfast.
