An average & affordable stay in an expensive area
While Chestnuts is a good value for expensive Bourton-on-the-Water, the accommodations were somewhat disappointing. The location is terrific and the breakfast was tasty, but there is minimal hospitality compared to other places we stayed across England. The room was a little dated and the bed wasn’t our favorite; and the shower temperature was hard to fine-tune; it was either hot or cold.

Nice old building. Handy to everything. Nice staff who were helpful. Excellent breakfast. My room was spacious.
