We were not happy with our stay
Pros: The location was very handy. It is right on the edge of the beautiful Carmel and within walking distance of everything.
Cons: Don't stay here. Our room was on the ground floor next to the maids room. We heard running and banging above us all night every night. Our bed was worn out with a lump in the middle. We had very little sleep. For the "comfort" Inn we were not comfortable or rested. We stayed for 4 nights and left exhausted. We only went to our free breakfast once. It was not great. My bagel was dry and hard. Too hard to eat. The eggs were disgusting and brought to the serving tr

Pros: Great location, excellent deli (Bruno’s) next door. Very pleasant outdoor seating areas to relax and/ or read.
Cons: Wifi kept dropping off, requiring to sign in a watch a promotional video half a dozen or more times a day.

Charmin cottage style inn
Pros: The location is very convenient, close to all restaurants and shops. The beds are very comfortable, clean comfortable rooms and the staff members are very attentive and friendly.
Cons: Parking is very limited; neighborhood residents will park in hotel parking, making it even more limited. This is not a fault of the hotel itself but of inconsiderate neighbors and a city-wide problem.

Pretty good for the price.
Pros: Close to shopping and only 15 min walk to beach. Very clean. Helpful staff. Chairs on patio to sit outside. Good coffee machine in office. Comfy bed and pillows.
Cons: Noisy street nearby. Breakfast was just ok. Not always easy to get a parking spot. Room was small.
