Pros: Wonderful, personal experience. Very welcoming and great breakfast with good conversation with other guests and host. Perfect location for us. Comfortable with everything you'd need for a short stay away. Cons: Would have a preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles but this is only a very minor thing. Our stay was great.
Beautiful house and rooms but too many restrictions
Pros: Lovely house in a beautiful setting. Our room was great and very comfortable, with a 5-star bed. Breakfast was lovely — especially the butcher’s meat and homemade bread. Perfect location if attending a wedding at Coombe Lodge. The house was beautifully kept. Cons: There are a lot of rules, which affected the overall feel of the stay. It didn’t feel particularly private. No alcohol is permitted in the bedrooms, which was disappointing as we normally enjoy having a bottle of wine in our room. We heard from another couple that there was a chair you weren’t allowed to sit in, which added to

Coombe Lodge is absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning picturesque location. The host Jennifer is wonderfully friendly and made our stay really memorable. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nice and the whole place has a lovely relaxed, peaceful vibe. Breakfast is amazing too, Jennifer puts a lot of pride into sourcing amazing local ingredients and ensures it's as good as possible. It was the perfect end to our stay. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Jenny was a lovely host and couldn't do enough to make our short stay as comfortable as possible.
