Crown House Hotel

A lovely location, the hotel had so much potential, description of the room needs updating.

Pros: The location was great and we were able to park free of charge, the hotel was situated in a lovely village with a fantastic pub that served excellent Thai food which was a short walk from the hotel. We loved the history around the place and the staff were welcoming. Cons: I was really disappointed with the accommodation, I decided to upgrade our room with a Four Poster bed ( room 10.) This is something that we almost never do, but we thought we would treat ourselves. The room was advertised with garden views ( we had a car park view) it also said that chocolates would be on our pillows

A good place to stay when visiting Audley End

A wonderfully charming country hotel

Pros: A lovely historical village hotel with plenty of charm, With its own private walled courtyard. Close to Audley end and Duxford air museum, and not far from Cambridge which made it an excellent base to see the local places of interest. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious! Cons: The mattress on my bed was a little firm for my preference.

A nice cosy stay for one night on our way from Yorkshire to Kent.

Pros: Staff is very friendly and we were able to take our two dogs there. Cons: Vegan options at breakfast were rather limited, eg ordered vegetarian cooked breakfast but without the egg. Would have been nice to have something else instead, such as avocado or other.
