Crowne Plaza Liverpool - John Lennon Airport by IHG

An enjoyable stay.

Pros: The hotel is being refurbished again and work is still not completed, nevertheless, the hotel structure and rooms are very good. The bed was comfortable and room facilities were excellent. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Cons: The lighting in the room was poor. The evening meal was excellent but (a big but), the menu was very poor. Basically, pizzas, burgers, a curry and fish and chips. For a hotel of this calibre I would have liked a much larger choice.

We had a reunion in pleasant surroundings and hope to do same in the future.

Pros: Been before and standard still brilliant but shame about the heating. I'm 93 so could have done with rooms a bit warmer but OK once in bed. Somewhat more choice of dinner menu would also be nice. Cons: No complaints here.

Cons: Could have done with a firm pillow. We had two double beds in the room and all 8 pillows were soft

Pros: Staff were lovely and helpful and general facilities were good Cons: Room furnishings (dark wood tv cabinet, desk, bedside tables) was dusty so much you could write in it Hotel was under renovation so air con/heating wasn’t working but we were given a fan and advised of this on arrival but not before Breakfast was limited for the price (compared to what you would get usually at the likes of a premier inn etc) and cold despite it being peak time for people eating. Only 1 coffee machine working for The whole dining area and that didn’t make half the drinks on the display menu.
