A wonderful relaxing stay
We had a lovely stay at Danesfield House for my partner's birthday. We had a gorgeous room which was super clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed taking walks in the grounds and also had a lovely time in the spa. The breakfast was delicious with loads of variety. We will be back!
Pros: Beautiful property and location
Pros: Beautiful property and location. Very friendly staff who were very accommodating when we arrived late. Room was very clean and facilities very good Cons: No aircon in our room which made sleeping quite difficult. Staff were great getting fans for us but some air conditioning would be a huge improvement!
Beautiful setting
Pros: Beautiful location and setting, very relaxing. Loved the grounds and viewpoint. Massages and swimming were wonderful. Staff very friendly. Room lovely. Very romantic. Cons: Would have liked a safe in room. Decided to have restaurant/bar meal as saw options before arrival (link sent by hotel) but the food menu had completely changed when we actually got there so I was very limited in what I could actually eat/choose. Would have liked an earlier check in for more time to swim and enjoy area.
Wonderful location, rooms and staff
Pros: Beautiful building with poignant history and amazing views. Wonderful rooms and shared spaces and facilities in the room. Super breakfast and bar. Very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Cons: Sadly the lift was not working during our stay and was apparently not going to be a quick fix. Considering the importance of the venue and for weddings etc, when we visited, the gardens looked unkempt and poorly maintained at peak wedding season time when people are photographing the grounds and walking around. This is an area which if tended correctly can really complete the experience at

Pros: It was in beautiful surroundings, the staff were really friendly, rooms clean and comfortable Cons: It wasn’t something I didn’t like but I was a little warm at night.
