Devine Beach Hotel, Westcliff Southend-On-Sea

Complicated check in which relied on app even though there was a member of staff on the premises. Finally we got to our room and it stank and looked dingy. Popped our head into the on-suite whic was tiny and cramp. Immediately booked another hotel and left. I usually read the reviews but this time I was in a hurry. If I'd read the reviews I wouldn't have booked. Also don't rely on the parking as there are only 4 spaces and the street is rammed. We had to pay for parking in the station carpark. We arrived at this hotel and we were told we had been cancelled But we were not CANCELLED? We were then told if we want another room we would have to pay again! We will never use this company again, how whole weekend was ruined

What a rip off. It was more like a hostel. than a hotel. It was dirty, noisy and it smelt.
