Lovely relaxing stay.

Pros: Location perfect. Quiet street and cottage facilities lovely. Cons: Nothing we didn’t not like.

Disappointing

Pros: Location in village good and had a nice kitchen and master bedroom. Cons: Cottage was dark and felt hemmed in. Damp smell in twin room with one window roof light (which made it hard to sleep early morning but perhaps there was a autoblind which I missed). Shower room had a leak somewhere as always seemed to be water on the floor around toilet - perhaps from observed crack in shower tray which felt unstable. Garden was very unkempt and patio area was tired. Outside lights not working. We booked for 3 nights but left early after 2.

Comfortable and quiet location for your Deeside break

Pros: Location was excellent, very quiet yet ideally located for all of Ballater's amenities and great base for walking from the door. . Comfortable beds, good showers, spacious kitchen, Smart TV and good WiFi. Great to have private driveway and enclosed garden . Cons: The cottage was good value for money and this is reflected by some of the furnishings (ikea lounge chairs, kitchen curtains needing repair) that may need to be updated in the near future, but these did not take away from its comfort.

An excellent cozy cottage

Pros: We really loved the location and how comfortable and cozy the cottage is! It's also very close to all amenities in Ballater . We would definitely use this cottage again!! Cons: The pillows lol

Great location, but disappointing internals

Pros: Location, open fire and enclosed garden Cons: Mould in the bathroom ceilings, bed sheets not ironed - ABSOLUTE NO - tumble dryer in wardrobe - why? and musty damp dog smell, not enough crockery and much of the oven baking trays need replacing, as does the carpet and vile plastic sheet over the dining table
