Pros: Room was very nice. Breakfast excellent. Cons: Found the temperature a bit cool in room.

Nice location for exploring York, but a bit tired.

Pros: The position of the hotel was great for exploring, walking the walls and for catching the hop-on-hop-off bus. We had breakfast included which was tasty with a good choice. The quality of bedding was nice too. Cons: We were in a rather gloomy annexe room around the back which was an old converted stable block. It was nice not to be on long noisy corridors, but there was noise from the laundry carts, hotel bottle bank, cars and delivery vans coming in and out of the tiny car park outside the door. The soundproofing between the two floors not great either, especially from the bathroom abov

Pros: Good location. Cons: Room was rather cool for sitting in and couldn't figure out how to increase the temperature.

Pros: Location. Cons: Collapsing floorboards in room, toilet roll holder, towel rack and hook on bathroom door all slack and no way to tighten them. Lack of parking a real issue - and no way to arrange for week-long parking at the local car park, whuch meant having to get up and out before 8.00am to feed the machine.
