Much more enjoyable than we expected as we travelled from the Yorkshire Dales to London.
Pros: The lobby, dining room, and staircase were all very memorable. You got the feeling you were transported back in time to a dignified country manor. Dinner was fantastic. We dined in the atrium/sun room and the atmosphere was perfect. The food was also excellent. Breakfast was equally as good. Overall, it was a surprisingly enjoyable stay. We didn't expect such a nice place when we booked it. The staff were all very well trained, pleasant, and attentive. Logan was an especially good waiter for us. Cons: We at least "liked" everything. The was no music during breakfast, but other than that,
Enjoyed it
Pros: Dovecliff staff were very helpful. The rooms were good but nothing fancy. We had a ground floor room as requested. It was fairly large and clean. Breakfast was excellent Cons: Dovecliff is really off the beaten track. It was a fair drive to get to town. Not much happening in town.
A nice, comfortable, pleasant stay in a lovely location. Slightly dated in areas. Would stay again
Pros: Comfortable, big bed and a nice view from the room. Ver grand impressive venue entrance. really friendly staff. The tea tray was great and also bottled water. Cons: The room was a little dated and there were a few bugs / cobwebs in the bathroom. No iron in the room, I arrived a little later in the evening so didn't want to inconvenience the night team asking for one so I used my straighteners. I didn't see phone in the room to contact reception if i needed anything and I was a while away from reception in room 9. A late arrival, I had had a shower and didn't really want to walk down t
One night stay only, would not stay longer
Pros: Location, nice staff, good breakfast Cons: Hotel is very dated, could do with an upgrade! I was given a room with bathroom which had obvious signs of water damage on the floor. The toilet kept flushing continuously which I reported to reception early evening on my way out. Was not repaired at that point and continued all through the night. That room should not have been sold with this problem.
