Pros: The room we had was just beautiful…… if you love the art deco style then this place is the one for you! Honestly couldn’t fault anything and the staff throughout the hotel were SUPER helpful. Cons: Absolutely NOTHING
Feels like home
Pros: Regularly stay here when in York and this is our happy place. We have stayed in many other hotels in York over the years but this is by far the best. The beautiful art deco bar, spotless rooms and our favourite, huge comfy beds. The Elmbank always delivers, on this occassion for the first time ever we stayed in the annexe across the road, room was huge and very much in the Elmbank style. The George Walton elements make it just that little bit special 😊 Cons: Hilton now charge for the bottle of water in the room on arrival, just seems a little petty

We had a room in the courtyard and it was lovely and peaceful out there! The bar was really nice too, it's beautifully decorated.
Beautiful hotel in convenient location.
Pros: I really liked the Art Nouveau decor in the main hotel. Our bedroom and bathroom were also imaginatively decorated. The location was good with convenient buses when it was too hot to walk into York. The air conditioning was very effective and the shower was good. Cons: The breakfast was a little chaotic, things kept running out. The cooked breakfast was good. It took 3 or 4 attempts for my bill to be sorted out correctly.
