Tranquility in a beautiful location with a welcome to match.
Pros: Owners enthusiasm. Food and wine. Tranquility. Wonderful country scenery. Cons: Difficulty in finding destination in remote location. No signage.
This property is a hidden gem in the hillsides of Campania.
Pros: With panoramic views across vineyards, hillsides and mountain tops, Castelmozzo literally is breath taking on a sunny day. Rooms are comfortable, really clean and all good sizes with nice bathrooms too. Overall the place is lovely. The host Leopoldo was very accommodating, polite and makes fantastic wine! Cons: Not much to say here…breakfast was basic, although local produce and very tasty.
Feels more like a homestay than a hotel/winestay.
Pros: The location in the middle of the vineyards is absolutely beautiful! The town of Santa Paolina is walkable (20 mins) and gives a taste of slow, Italian life. There are plenty of towns around to explore. It’s possible to have dinner at the place if you want and breakfast was included. Cons: It feels more like a homestay than a hotel. We feel the service could have been better (with how it is presented on booking, we had other expectations). Some examples: - our room was not cleaned on the first day, but the other days it was. Unclear why it was like this. - our room was right next to
Superb
