Charming rooms behind a traditional English pub-recommended

Pros: The accommodation consists of separate little apartments tucked away behind a traditional English pub. Our room was modern, with a lovely forest just behind it, and the bathroom was spacious and tastefully decorated. We really appreciated the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the stylish design. As we arrived quite late, we didn't have the chance to try dinner at the pub, but breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, there wasn't any sourdough bread, and I can't eat yeast, but the porridge was honestly the best I've ever had. The pub itself is beautiful and has a genuine English atmosphere fu

Charge the going rate and include the breakfast - simple things

Pros: The room (modern cabana style) was lovely, with some nice touches such as a radio and coffee machine with the makings for two coffees. The hotel proper was nicely decorated and cosy. The outside space was ok too. Cons: The staff were trying hard but up against it and seemed almost apologetic - menu at dinner was all burgers with no other mains; dog charge was a whopping (and not advertised) £20, although they supplied a bed and treats; breakfast is a limited continental unless you pay extra eg £9 to add eggs to your toast and orange juice, for example, ran out before we got there.
