Opulence hidden in a little special place, pleasantly surprised
Pros: I loved the room, and the facilities. It was just that little bit more special than most places in the vicinity Cons: The stairs with a heavy suitcase were tricky. Normal city noise also, but that was only on the first night. They loveliness of the room made up for a sleepless night

Pros: The location is great, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the room is really large and comfortable. We will definitely book here again. Cons: I really can't think of anything!
Quirky and charming rooms above a popular historic pub
Pros: We were a little early and our room was still being made up, so we settled in the bar for a drink and were then told it was complimentary, which was a nice start. The room was air-conditioned, which I hadn't expected as it's a quirky old property, but that was very welcome in the heat wave! Location was excellent, loads going on (including the all night meat market which might be a little noisy for some if you don't have ear plugs) and the proximity of the Elizabeth line underground made getting around a breeze. Cons: The extractor fan in the bathroom could have been a bit stronger to
