Gem Fitzrovia Hotel

Very happy. Completely satisfied.

Pros: This is a very nice hotel at a reasonable price. It’s not in the budget bracket, but London can be silly money. It is also in an area that is quiet at night. My superior double was clean and comfortable with all the bits you’d expect. And a very good shower. Not huge, but again this is London. I would stay there again. Cons: No complaints. But if you’re here for West End theatres and bright lights, it’s a bit of a stroll. Do you good!

A great place to retreat to in the end of each day, comfortable and quiet.

Pros: The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable, had good AC and the shower was great. Everything we needed was a minute's walk away and the breakfast was good value. Cons: I really can't think of anything wrong.

Ideal location

Pros: For me this hotel is in the perfect spot - not very touristy so quieter than many neighbourhoods, but so easy to get all around London as it's between two tube stations that are serviced by several lines. The hotel itself is a quite grand old thing and full of character, which was lovely. The team were helpful and the room had everything that it needed. Cons: The bed was much too hard for me & I had back pain after a couple of nights. That might be OK for other customers who prefer a hard mattress but it's something that would probably put me off staying there again.

Pros: Comfortable bed, clean and well equipped. Cons: Not very good welcome, not very informative e.g. we had to ask the receptionist what room she had given us the key cards for at check in. Not impressed that the bar had run out and had no beer on tap.

A well placed hôtel that gave an elegant feel. The superior room was however far too small.

Pros: Élégant décor, cleanliness and a superbly cooked breakfast. Add the pleasant helpfulness of the staff and location. Cons: Room was small and the bathroom was cramped (bath/shower was raised and difficult to enter). Bed was comfortable but not ‘largé’. The tea/coffee provision was silly. A disappointment. There was no Accessible toilet downstairs.
