Glendevon House Hotel

It’s not value for money

Pros: Nothings Cons: Very facilities

Great base for south east London

Pros: I put a good score for location and value for money. The hotel is a good base for exploring outer south east London, i.e. Down House & Eltham Palace. The hotel is certainly cheaper than places in Lewisham & Greenwich. Cons: There were no eateries and food shops in the immediate vicinity.

Not great. Won’t be booking with either again

Pros: Felt a little messed around Was put in another hotel due to an issue Cons: Blanket was too cold

Pros: Staff were kind, the room is comfortable and very well equipped, including fridge and microwave! Cons: Our bathroom had a foul smell. This dissipated over our stay and was hardly noticeable by the following morning, but we only stayed for one night so that wasn't much consolation. I expect they knew about it as the windows in our room were wide open when we checked in and we left them open until late in the night, but it didn't help much. The showers also made a strange sound throughout the night, it wasn't too loud and didn't wake us when we slept, however you could hear it when awake.

Fell short of previous stays

Pros: Location Cons: En suite in a cupboard, shabby room, kept awake by noise from other guests
