Haddington House

A very pleasant stay

I booked this hotel on Trivago but when I arrived Trivago had cancelled my booking without my knowledge or permission. They did however refund me my money. The owner gave me a reasonable deal in order not to disappoint me. The hotel is very cosy and homely and the staff were wonderful. The breakfasts were first class. My room for a double was very small and had some of the basics missing. There was no wardrobe, no hangers, no chest of drawers, no ironing board, iron or fridge, all of which I expect in a 4 star hotel. Very comfortable and clean room with a good breakfast. However the TV in the room didn't work.

Heavenly at Haddington House

We love it here and were so looking forward to a return visit. The rooms at the front are close to completion so our room was at the back. It was lovely, spacious and beautifully decorated, with lots of gorgeous bits and bobs. Very thoughtful additions such as straw beach bag for when it’s hot and a hot water bottle when a little cooler, obviously there is a charge if you ‘forget’ to leave them in the room on departure. Excellent stay, very comfortable, spacious and clean rooms and hotel all round with a very friendly and helpful welcome. Restaurant is a great choice for good quality food and big portion sizes. Outdoor bar and seating area with great views is a bonus and a perfect place for relaxing on a sunny day. Great transport links to Dublin and further south with the DART only a 5 min walk away. Safe and welcoming location.
