Excellent location for city centre , let down by breakfast

Excellent location , good room , very average buffet breakfast , felt choices were chided for economy rather than quality , tinned fruit , watery fruit juice and coooked items tasted like they had been out for some time , had to ask for items to be roped up Ended up with toast . Shame as it would have been excellent rather than good had the breakfast been better

Pros: Like the location and the breakfast. Staff was friendly and easy to walk around york. Cons: We have parked the vehicle in a carpark and had a 8 minute wLk to the hotel. It was a bit frustrating.

Clean, comfortable and brilliantly located for York Barbican and the city centre.

Pros: A really enjoyable stay at the Hampton by Hilton York Piccadilly. The hotel was clean, comfortable and ideally located for exploring York. We were visiting for an event at York Barbican, which was within easy walking distance. The city centre was also just a short stroll away, making it a great base for sightseeing, shopping and eating out. There are several parking options nearby, which is helpful when arriving by car. The combination of comfort, convenience and such a central location made this an excellent choice for our stay. We’d happily return and would certainly recommend it. C

Wouldn’t return

Pros: Staff were very polite Cons: The smell in the bathroom every time you use the sink you could smell sewage. The breakfast gluten free was limited couldn’t choose how you’d like eggs, bacon was very salty
