Beware: Hotel renovations & drilling - Unbearable noise (December 2025)

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in 2023 and had a very pleasant experience, which is why we chose to rebook it again this year. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different and deeply disappointing. We booked a four-night stay over the Christmas holiday, unaware that the hotel was undergoing major renovations. This information should have been clearly disclosed at the time of booking, especially during a holiday stay when guests expect a quiet and restful experience. We woke up to extremely loud drilling early in the morning, after already getting very little sleep due to a refriger

Dangerous shuttle, otherwise okay

Room was clean and much bigger than usual, which was nice! The only downside and reason it’s not five stars is the reckless shuttle driver who ran a very long red light hanging a high speed left across traffic to get into the hotel area off US 50. It was extra reckless given that we had an infant with us and there was no way to secure an infant in the shuttle.

We needed a shuttle pickup at 12:30 AM

We needed a shuttle pickup at 12:30 AM. There was no problem. The hotel had a list of "walk to" restaurants. Paisano's Pizza was a 5 minute walk. Their food was delicious. We bought hot subs, brought them back to the hotel and ate in the breakfast area.
