Harbour View Lodge

Convenient location, over priced former rest home vibe.

Pros: I liked the warm and friendly staff. The location worked well for the purpose of my visit. The TV was nice and big. and again I thought the clerk was warm, welcoming and kind. Cons: That it felt like a nursing home. Obviously I asked and yes it was a former nursing home. Whilst I appreciate recycling property, someone who has spent way too much visiting nursing homes struggled to feel it was worth 119.00 to feel like a senior trying out the space. I understand the NZ construction costs are terrible. but new doors or at least some hotel feeling.

Free parking such a bonus. Beautiful harbour views. Lovely and quiet. Staff very polite. Massive television in room. Tidy, spacious room. Very affordable prices.

Pros: Nothing Cons: Shower toilet was disgusting, TV was real bad, no food anywhere close, view wasn't what I expected
