No power, cold shower, little concern

This is a hostel style accommodation above a pub. Cleanliness was an issue between the bathrooms and the room itself. I made tea and didn't drink it as there was a floating layer of who knows what. We had no power in the rooms upstairs and no hot water. I initially got blamed by a guy knocking on my door asking if I'd used a plug converter. I hadn't yet needed to and he said I couldn't. Because of this I couldn't charge my phone or more importantly my hearing aids.
