Melvin picked us up at the airport and drove us to Hilton BWI. Melvin is very courteous, kind, respectful, professional, and a safe driver. He is approachable, accommodating, and easy to converse with. Melvin also drove us to the port and picked us up after our cruise. Melvin is very personable and an asset to the Hilton BWI staff. Nothing special about this hotel—the description said “modern,” but it felt pretty dated to me. The room was just okay, more like a 3-star hotel. I had to wait over 20 minutes for the shuttle, which might not sound terrible, but I arrived late, and one of the reasons I chose this place was its proximity—I thought I’d get there quickly, but that wasn’t the case. It doesn’t seem like the shuttles run on a loop; I had to call for one when I arrived at 10 p.m. They also wouldn’t pick me up from the rental car center, even though it’s within the 3-mile radius. I would like to share that I had a excellent time there with exceptional service From Carmen working at the restruant I felt she did above and beyond with such a great personality for a young waitress it was a pleasure going there hope to go back and would definitely recommend ! My husband and I and a friend had our flight cancelled at BWI airport due to stormy weather and tornado watch that passed through the area. Hotels, Car Rental Services, Amtrak was sold out. We had no where to go until our friend checked out the Hilton Baltimore BWI airport hotel. We were fortunate enough to book two rooms through Expedia. Lourd, the front desk representative, was able to assist us in getting into our rooms and getting settled after a long grueling day of cancellations and disappointments.
