Overnight stop en route from London to Keswick. We were made very welcome by reception and the room was warm, clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The evening meal was pricey for what was basically a bar meal, but the quality was high. We would have welcomed a "Senior's Portion" as we felt unable to tackle the attractive dessert menu. In the morning, a hot shower and a excellent hearty breakfast set us on our way.
Friendly, helpful staff, especially the gentleman who checked very promptly when we accidentally set off the alarm in our accessibility room. Restaurant staff very pleasant too.
Everything was excellent the food, staff, location, rooms etc. Except there was no internet and the aircon didnt work
The staff are always welcoming, friendly and efficient
