Holiday Inn Express Long Island City E - New York by IHG

Pros: The room was cosy and the mattress comfortable. It had a nice view of Queens and Manhattan. It offered all the amenities you need for a short stay. Besides, the hotel offered a complimentary shuttle to one of the stations of Subway 7, which leads to Manhattan. Cons: It was very loud, both from the expressway outside and from the corridor inside, which speaks for a poor insulation of the room. The breakfast was passable in terms of quality. The most frustrating issue was the hotel's unwillingness to issue an invoice, even though it initially declared it would.

For having to be in LIC everything was as expected. The room was great.

Pros: The rooms— perfect. Great mattresses. Cons: Dead Lantern flies all over the entrance. That’s what we were greeted by. The front desk person was a terrible communicator. The man in the morning was wonderful.
