Hotel Heron Alexandria Old Town, Curio Collection by Hilton

Convenient, accommodating, excellent restaurant and service.

Pros: Dinner at Kiln was a highlight. The food was comparable to any fine restaurant in Alexandria—and beyond. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. We would certainly return. Cons: Beds were a little too soft, but that is a personal preference. Not crazy about the online check-in process, but understand it might be a timesaver. We did not arrive or leave at a busy time so it made no difference. We had lived in Old Town for 20 years, so recognize that the location is great. Was disconcerted by the high cost of parking. $45 PLUS tips for bringing up and for parking the car was excessive.

Nice place in a great location .

Pros: The staff was very helpful and customer focused . Had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was deliciously and our our server Emma was exceptional . Cons: When booking our hotel on booking .com we got a room on the second floor , adjacent the elevator and right on the street .
